Parenting fail or trick or treat, {first_name}? 👻
My third grader had school pics yesterday.
He opted to go monochrome.
Shades of green.
(Google "St. Patrick's Day picture day fails" to see what we may be in for.)
By the time I remembered it was indeed picture day, that he was dressed as a human green screen, and emailed his teacher to ask if I needed to bring him another option, she'd replied:
"HA! He already took the picture!!!!!"
TBD if we end up w a portrait of his precious face floating on the bookshelf background 🤓💚
ALSO - today's the last free community coworking call for FOCUS POCUS 2024!
Would love to see your face floating on your fave Zoom background at noon central.
Also #2, this bonus thought that came to me last night:
What if it cost you $1 ($50, $100) every time you tapped into your fave social media app? Considering the value of your time + attention, what if it already does? 👀
It could also MAKE you money, gift you with valuable connection, info, entertainment, inspo, etc of course.
But how often do we consider what it costs us to tune OUT of whatever we could be doing "offline" to tune IN to what others are doing online?
Asking myself this bc since I added FB to my phone (to go live / share more in my private FB group) I’ve been tapping in willy nilly without intention.
Sharing in case it sparks an insight for you too ⚡️
K I'm out.
P.S. For the pic as promised: Here's a throwback to one of my fave (and most narcissistic) costumes of all parenting time, a teeny tiny version of my favorite fourth trimester day jammies for Noey's first Halloween in 2020.
It was very last-minute but I was DELIGHTED to find tiny green sweat pants and a black tank to match the rotation of comfy nursing tanks I lived in for months (years?) post-partum.
We love a matchy-matchy moment.
Hope you enjoy the holiday / night if you celebrate! 🎃🍭🍫
