Facebook Live Made Me Do It (Meet My New Idea Baby)

Successful LaunchThe secret is OUT!

But first (before I share the secret), a confession:

I have a serious crush on Facebook Live.

Last week I challenged myself to do one broadcast errrry day this week, and it has been a delightful change in (my usual hermitly) routine.

One of my fave parts about live-streaming is that it forces you to move past perfectionism.

You can’t sit there and obsess over saying the exact right thing, recording (what’s essentially) the same video three times – knowing good and well you will never let it see the light of YouTube.

You decide on your topic, tap the screen, and 3, 2, 1, CONNECT with human beings all around the world.

Crazy hair, not-so-hidden diaper boxes, spitup and all.

It’s beautiful. And fun. And inspiring.

And it’s why, after months (years) of keeping it to myself + my closest friendtors, this week I finally felt comfortable enough to announce the upcoming arrival of my new idea baby, Naptime Empires

Nope – I don’t know what it will actually BE (first).

Nope – I don’t know when it will officially launch.

All I know is that over the next few months, I want to create something NEW that offers up ideas, inspiration, and encouragement to mamas with big dreams and little roomies.

I also know that in order to do that, I need your help.

If you’re a mama running a business with little ones at home (or hope to be in the near future), I would L.O.V.E. to learn more about you, your story, and how I can help.

Click here to share your wishlist (+ get insider updates).

If that DOESN’T describe you at all (and you’re thinking, “That’s great, Nik, but are all of your posts gonna be about babies now?), I’ll tell you this:

  1. Nope, and
  2. Get your popcorn ready.

Over the next few (or several) months as I create the first iteration of Naptime Empires, I’ll be charting new territory for myself, my business, and my dreamies.

This could get interesting.

(In fact, I know it will. That’s exactly why I’m so excited about it.)

All that to say: I see a LOT of enlightening Facebook Live chats in our future ;)

And that’s the big announcement.

Should you choose to accept it:

Click here to check out the Facebook Live vids from this week (video tips, pep talks, Deke cuteness, etc.).

Click here to help shape the (immediate) future of Naptime Empires™.

^^ You’ll also get updates + a special invite as my thanks for your time :) ^^

I’ll be on Facebook Live again soon if you need me!

P.S. If the ideas, inspiration, and encouragement o’ Naptime Empires sound exciting to you, click here to become an insider + send me your wishlist. Seriously. I’m reading (and loving) EVERY entry.

P.P.S. Even if this isn’t up YOUR alley – if you know a mama who could use some extra encouragement, please share www.naptimeempires.com with her. (She may also enjoy yesterday’s Facebook Live video, complete with spitup, because #momlife. Your call.)

Just a reminder not all of us are mothers.. will you change your branding? just wondered

    1. Nikki Elledge Brown

Hi Susan! Great Q. I’m definitely aware that not everybody in my existing community is a parent (or wants to be). I’m not 100% sure what this will look like, but to be honest – I don’t see a huge transition or change coming up.

I’ve been talking about life and family since starting my business three years ago – now it’ll just provide more of a context for what I share.

In the months to come, as Naptime Empires™ takes shape, I’ll have a better idea – and will be sure to give y’all options on the type of content you see from me in your inbox.

Thanks for caring enough to ask :) If you’ve got any specific Qs or request for future blog topics, please let me know and I can add ’em to my idea bank!
